FilmAid Partners with Otis College of Art and Design |
In the fall of 2008
FilmAid began working with Otis College of Art and Design in LA as the
site partner for an Integrated Learning course entitled "Movies that
Matter." FilmAid advisory committee member and marketing consultant
Judy Arthur and adjunct professor Perri Chasin created this
awareness-raising course featuring cinema about the real issues that
shape our lives. The students analyze films, including FilmAid's
youth-created refugee films depicting social, political, and cultural
issues faced in the refugee camps.
